Income EstimatesRealistically, enrollments will not be at capacity the first month of business. A lot of parents that call seeking child care in many cities are looking for infant openings. You may find that the infant openings are the first to fill. Preschoolers and school age children often have younger siblings that the parents are trying to place.
Registered ProvidersMost providers are very competitive, and base their rates, in part, on the fees other providers charge, and what Hennepin County is currently paying registered providers. Registered providers are those whom have elected to contract with the county to accept reimbursements for child care services for families in need. The needy families must contact the county and fill in all required forms. The provider must fill in required forms and agree to the rates set by the county. Although the county will only reimburse providers up to their maximum, providers are allowed to charge their usual rates and require the parents to pay the difference. Effective July, 2006The following is a table of the 2003 State maximum rates that Hennepin County can pay Registered Providers for child care. The County stresses "It is not intended to be used by Providers to set their private pay rates for child care. Rather it is the maximum that the County can pay the Provider."
